Hatteras Island Vacations

The annual Hatteras Village Christmas Parade and dance will ring in the season on Saturday, Dec. 12, in Hatteras village. This annual event is sponsored by the Hatteras Village Civic Association, and features floats, music, and participants from all along the Outer Banks.

Hatteras Island Arts & Crafts Guild will have an arts and crafts show on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 27-28, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Cape Hatteras Secondary School on Highway 12 in Buxton.

This cormorant was rescued off of Hwy 12 in Salvo by Shiralee Timmons and Richard Roy of Surf or Sound Realty. The cormorant will be taken to a local bird rescuer to see if any treatment is needed and then it will be released to a safe area. Photos by Shiralee Timmons of Surf or [...]
