“Nights in Rodanthe” house Serendipity is moved to its new home
On January 18th at 11:00 a.m., Serendipity, the home featured in the 2008 movie “Nights in Rodanthe” made its move along NC Highway 12 to its new home, approximately 1/2 mile south on Beacon Street. The move took about 30 minutes, and the highway was blocked off to traffic going north and south.

The group of spectators keeps growing as Serendipity, the home featured in the movie Nights in Rodanthe, gets closer to being moved.
Last minute preparations for Serendipity move
Last minute preparations happen in front of a small but excited crowd. The pilings are being cut away from Serendipity, which is scheduled to be “on the road” and start moving at 2:00 p.m.

Serendipity, the home that was the setting for the Richard Gere and Diane Lane 2008 movie Nights in Rodanthe, is getting ready to make her move.
