Buxton Ball Field To Be Dedicated On Saturday
Dare County and Hatteras Island Babe Ruth Baseball will host a ceremony on Saturday, April 17 at 1 p.m. to dedicate the ball field in Buxton to Maurice Lennon “Dick” Burrus. All are invited to attend.

Festival gears up with local Hatteras story telling
The fifth Land of Beginnings Festival gears up this week with a series of story-telling sessions. This week will also feature the Living Legend Luncheon honoring artist Glenn Eure and a community conversation that will examine the economic future of the Outer Banks.

Cape Hatteras Lighthouse To Open Friday, April 16, 2010
The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse will open to the public for climbing from April 16 through Columbus Day, October 11, 2010. Climbing fees for the Lighthouse will be $7 per adult, and $3.50 for children under 12 and senior citizens.
