Re-Entry for Hatteras Residents Temporarily Suspended
Due to Damaged Equipment at the Stumpy Point Ferry Dock

The Re-Entry for Hatteras Island Residents originating at the Stumpy Point ferry docks has been suspended. A supporting structure for the ferry ramp was damaged by heavy equipment while loading onto the Ferry.

NCDOT is working diligently to correct the problem as quickly as possible, however it may take 24 hours for the replacement equipment to arrive and be installed. Announcements will be made when resident re-entry to Hatteras Island Villages will resume.
