The Outer Banks Wedding Expo is being held January 10-11, and Surf or Sound Realty is delighted to be a part of the region’s largest wedding expo of 2009.
On Saturday, January 10th, we invite brides-to-be and their families to stop by our spotlight wedding tour home #553 Seas the Day, located in Salvo in the upscale Hattie Creef subdivision. Set outside under a large lighted tent adjacent to the Avon Office, the Homeowners’ Party presents a chance for staff to catch up with the homeowners, say thanks for a great year, and of course, have a great time. Surf or Sound Realty is happy to announce that our Avon and Salvo offices will serve as drop-off locations for the Hatteras Island Food Pantry. From November through New Year’s, locals, visitors and homeowners can drop off non-perishable items, including food items, toiletries, pet food, and other every day necessities at either office location. At 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, a group of Surf or Sound Realty staff members met at Jockey’s Ridge State Park at the corner of the 4-lane bypass in Nags Head. Cheerful, but somewhat sleep deprived, these folks quickly got to work setting up tables, lining trash cans, setting up fishing poles and beach chairs on the side of the highway, and filling up about 4,000 cups of water, give or take a few. The staff at Surf or Sound Realty congratulates Chuck Davis, our Avon office housekeeping supervisor, on his completion of the 3rd annual Outer Banks Half Marathon on Sunday, November 9th. The half marathon began in the Northern Outer Banks village of Nags Head, looped through Jockey’s Ridge, crossed the Causeway that leads to Manteo, and finally ended in Roanoke Island Festival Park. The total length of the course was a painful 13 miles.
