Need a break from cooking? Try a private chef.
The Inn at Pamlico Sound, home of Hatteras Island’s exclusive four star fine dining restaurant in Frisco, has launched a private chef and catering service for 2008. Beginning as a pilot project in May 2008, Steve Nelson, owner of the Inn and restaurant, has received nothing but positive reviews and plans to continue these services for the 2009 season.
The concept for both the private chef service and catering service is simple. “We do it backwards,” says Steve. “Most catering companies provide a menu and prices. There are no canned menus here.”
Instead, Steve and his staff talk to the clients to find out their favorite foods, their desired atmosphere, and their budget, and use this information as building blocks for an exquisite, personalized menu. Continue reading
