Summer Concert Series on Hatteras Island

In town and looking for something fun that the entire family can enjoy? Be sure to check out the Kona Summer Concert Series at REAL Watersports.
The Kona Brewing Company from Hawaii has joined forces with REAL to produce this summer long series of waterfront, LIVE music performances featuring a variety of talented musicians.

These shows are hosted on the amphitheatre, waterfront deck at the REAL Flagship Store in the Village of Waves. All shows are FREE and OPEN to the public. Dinner and drinks are available at all shows from MOJOs Sunset Café located onsite. The Kona Summer Concert Series location and waterfront views are unbelievable with epic sunsets and exciting kiteboarding action right at the water’s edge.
The atmosphere is fun and family/group friendly. You can sit at tables near the band, enjoy a draft Kona Beer at the bar at MOJOs, or enjoy the Bermuda grass lawn area on a beach blanket or chair. This is the best way to wrap up any day in Cape Hatteras!
Kona Summer Concert Series Show times are 6pm-10pm unless advertised otherwise.

Free Activities for your Family on Check In Day from Kitty Hawk Kites

If you are checking in on Saturday, and arrive on Hatteras Island a little early, Kitty Hawk Kites offers plenty of activities to keep everyone in the family busy and enjoying a jump start to their vacation, while waiting for check-in.

Every Saturday during the summer, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., you can join Kitty Hawk Kites at Waves Village Kiteboarding Resort for plenty of fun while your vacation rental home is being prepped for your Hatteras Island Vacation. You can leave one person at the office to wait while you join in the fun, or everyone can head over to Kitty Hawk Kites to relax and enjoy the afternoon. Continue reading →

Kitty Hawk Kites to Host First Annual Kiteboarding Race

After opening the Kitty Hawk Kites Kiteboarding Resort in Waves, NC last fall, Kitty Hawk Kites is planning to host the inaugural kiteboarding race, beginning April 25 and continuing through May 2.

Kitty Hawk Kites and KiteUS are co-sponsoring this week long event and are expecting a large number of participants. Kiteboarders from across the country will be in attendance to compete on Hatteras Island, one of the best locations in the country for kiteboarding. Continue reading →
