With miles of uncrowded beaches and unrivaled kiteboarding conditions, it’s no surprise that Cape Hatteras was named #5 on the Travel Channel’s countdown of the Top 101 Sand and Surf Hot Spots in the world. OBX EVENTS June 1-10th


Here at Surf or Sound Realty, we are looking forward to a busy, fun-filled month! There is always something exciting happening on the OBX! We’ve made it our mission to make sure you are well-informed of the week’s activities and events so that you can make the most of your well-deserved vacation!

This week’s line up is packed to the brim (just like your suitcases) with activities and events for all ages!
June 1-3 OBX Paddle Palooza, Frisco, Frisco Woods Campground.
~Stand up paddleboard races and demonstrations for all ages and skill levels! Don’t forget about the pig-pickin’ Saturday night!
June 2 Dare Day, Manteo.
~Starting @ 9am, enjoy a beautiful day in Manteo’s downtown historic waterfront! Dare Day is an annual celebration of the people and history of Dare County. There will be enterainment and demonstrtations provided. Admission is FREE! Come enjoy a day full of exploration and learning!

June 2-8 Triple S Invitational, Waves, REAL Watersports.
~Be a spectator as the pros compete for the most sought after victory on the professional kiteboarding circuit! Gearing UP for Memorial Day week festivities!

No matter what you’re gearing up for, whether it’s surfing, kiteboarding, some of the world’s best fishing, or just a fun time on the beach, the OBX delivers!

Indiantown Arts and Crafts Show

Endless Summer Weekend

~This crafty festival will be held rain or shine at the Baum Senior Center in Kill Devil Kills, behind the Kill Devil Hills Post Office. Be sure to stop by and support our talented local artists and browse their wares!

Indiantown Arts and Crafts Show

1st Annual Shorebreak 5k and The Tide Pool Fun Run

~All are welcome to run, walk, or jog the scenic 3.1 miles through beautiful Kinnakeet Shores in Avon! The Shorebreak 5k will begin at 8am followed by The Tide Pool Fun Run on the beach. Come support each other and our community! All proceeds from this event go towards the Hatteras Island Youth Education Fund and the OBX GO FAR Children’s Health and Nutrition program.

7 Parties and 7 Bands at REAL Kiteboarding’s Triple-S Event
