Arts Council will host live music, art and food event on Monday, May 3rd

The Dare County Arts Council (DCAC) invites Hatteras Island residents and visitors to a lively evening of light fare, live music, art, a gorgeous sunset, and neighborly cheer on Monday, May 3, from 6 – 8 p.m., at The Inn on Pamlico Sound on NC Highway 12 in Buxton.

Local artists will show their work, and local musicians The Summertime Blues Band (with special guest musicians joining in), will perform. A number of local restaurants, including The Inn on Pamlico Sound, Rusty’s Surf and Turf, Avon Cafe, Island Perks, Mac Daddy’s and Teach’s Island Bar and Grill, will be on site cooking up some delicious local fair for all attendees to enjoy. Hatteras Island Arts & Crafts Show is Nov. 27-28

Hatteras Island Arts & Crafts Guild will have an arts and crafts show on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 27-28, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Cape Hatteras Secondary School on Highway 12 in Buxton.

This is an annual event to help locals and visitors alike get a jump start on their Christmas shopping island style. The show will feature work by dozens of renowned local artists, artisans, photographers, and craftsmen. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to stop by and browse the array of works, or purchase some island inspired art and crafts to take home. Lunch and snacks will be available for a small fee. Sea Glass Trunk Show at Indiantown Gallery

On Thursday, June 4, the Indiantown Gallery will feature a Sea Glass Truck Show from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., featuring authentic gift items, jewelry, and pieces by artists Pem Bryant, has over 300 pieces of LOCAL sea glass that he has made into jewelry and gift items. Continue reading

Hatteras Island Galleries & Mementos

Everyone needs a memento to remind them of their beach vacation, whether it’s a shell discovered on an early morning beach walk, or coastal furnishings to make home always feel like a favorite vacation on the shore.
