Need to do some back to school shopping? Looking for ways to save a little extra cash? With the North Carolina tax free holiday, you can save money by purchasing items like clothing, school supplies and computers from Friday, August 6th through Sunday, August 8th. This tax exemption applies to:
• Clothing, footwear, and school supplies under $100
• Sports and recreation equipment under $50
• Computers under $3,500
• Computer equipment under $250
The holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 6th and lasts until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 8th.
