"Nights in Rodanthe" house Serendipity is moved to its new home

On January 18th at 11:00 a.m., Serendipity, the home featured in the 2008 movie “Nights in Rodanthe” made its move along NC Highway 12 to its new home, approximately 1/2 mile south on Beacon Street. The move took about 30 minutes, and the highway was blocked off to traffic going north and south.

A large group of onlookers were gathered around the house as it slowly made its way down NC Highway 12, taking photos, in what resembled a large parade. The move was successful, and workers will spend the rest of the afternoon placing it securely in its new location.
